International Flags

At Florida Tech, we welcome all international students  Our students and instructors represent a diverse cultural cross-section. FITA鈥檚 pilot administrative office will assist in all aspects of an international student pilot to include Visa and TSA applications.

Visa Information

M-1 Visas

Because a large part of our students come to us from outside the United States for the sole purpose of flight training most new students will need to acquire an M-1 visa. The M-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa for international students who wish to pursue a course of study that is not principally academic in nature. The I-20 is valid for only 12 months and does not provide any working privileges at the conclusion of training.

TSA is required for all international students for initial, Instrument Rating, and Multi-Engine training. FITA Pilot Administrative Services will assist in the process to include initial finger-printing.
